Do the Zoo!

In October, my friend Debbie and I wanted to take the kids to the zoo but the weather was uncooperative. With no school on Friday, the 6th and terrific weather, it actually worked for us to take 6 kids to the zoo.
The boys loved the boa constrictor.

You can see the boys on the look out porch watching the sea lions and harbor seal swimming laps.

Emmet was so excited to be at the zoo. He could hardly speak! A sentence for him went like this "Hey Allison check out this lion and there's the mommy and the daddy and another mommy and there's the tiger and he's walking around his cage and he has a pumpkin in his pen and over here is the snow leapard! Okay, Emmet, let's stop and take a breath!

Field Trip Finally!

The boys had their field trip to Autumn Acres rescheduled 4 times. Needless to say, we were glad that they were finally able to make it. It was rescheduled for Tuesday, my day off. So, the girls and I tagged along.

This is a nice picture of Emmet's class, minus Emmet. He was tired by the end and didn't want to be in the picture. I am semi-believer in the philosophy that "kids behave better if their parents are not on the field trips with them."

Everyone had a good time and unfortunately, did not fall asleep on the way home. So it was early to bed for Emmet and the girls. However, that did backfire when Eliza was up twice in the night and Emmet 3 times! Arrggh!

Last Sunday was a great day to enjoy the leaves in the yard. I will just let the pictures speak for themselves.
