Christmas Again!

We spent Christmas with my family at Honey Creek Resort also. I had effectively talked both sets of parents into taking the families to Honey Creek in lieu of a lot of presents. Each child still got a few, which worked out well.
Alyssa was trying so hard to help Eliza get her shoes on.

Emmet and Alyssa were inseparable at the pool. They had a great time!

Emmet and Alyssa also had a great time on the orange slide.

Ephraim and Seth got to spend some time together.

Books and matching pjs for the girls also.

Huggin' cousins.
New transformers!

All the kids. Right now they are ages 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 & 2.

Craft time!
The kids went to bed in their new pjs and then we woke up on Tuesday morning and opened presents!
An apron set!

Three little cooks!

Hot wheel set for the boys!

Alyssa and Garret with the gifts we gave them. I made Cabbage Patch doll clothes for Alyssa--a coat, dress, skirt, overalls and 3 shirts. All from fabric handed down from Grandma Boat.

Legos men!

An oven and a microwave to play with!

More legos!

A tiera, shoes and necklace!

Bricks to play with and a child cleaning set!

Who is tired? This was Tuesday afternoon--after presents, after lunch, after 2 hours at the pool. Four kids fell asleep watching Night at the Museum.

Cabin 16, home for two nights. This cabin had four bedrooms, two baths, large living area and equipped kitchen.
Packed up and ready to head for home!
Again, a great time was had by all and we were blessed to spend time with our family. Oh, I guess I didn't mention the hardest part of the weekend--getting the girls to sleep. Seth ended up taking Eliza for "a drive" to get her to sleep. Forty five minutes later, after a tour of Centerville, she was finally asleep. Eliza is also the one who delayed our departure for Honey Creek by plugging the bathroom sink full of water with a toothpaste cap! Oh, Eliza!

Van Wyk Christmas

My mother's family got together on Saturday, the 26th in Pella at Work Systems Rehab & Fitness. We had access to a conference room, the gym and the kids' indoor Fun Factory. What a great place for my kids and their extended cousins!
Here are just a few (or maybe a alot) of pictures of the fun!

Eliza was very balanced, it took Eden a bit longer to get this figured out.

Eliza got a little too much speed coming down the slide and then flipped over at the bottom. She got right back up and went down again.
Emmet was reluctant to go down the slide by himself at first, but then he was an old pro at it.
Makayla, Kate, Eliza and Eden bouncing around.

Grandma and the girls

Not the greatest photo, but I'm coming down the slide with all four kids.

We had a great time with the extended family and that the kids had their own place to play.
