Sept 4 Camping for the Day

Last Sunday, the 4th, we ventured to the Coralville area after church to spend the day with friends who were camping. After our experience of camping last year (two girls not fully potty trained and a somewhat violent wind/rain storm at 10pm) we decided we weren't ready to tent camp with four kids that far away from home. So, a day trip it was. The weather was great!

Eliza playing with the boys in the sand pile.

The boys were begging to go to the beach. They were dry for about a millisecond!

One advantage to camping is the asphalt! The kids really really excel at riding their bikes. They sharpen their biking skills and build endurance going up the hills.

Seth borrowed a couple of different bikes over the course of the day so he could ride with the boys.

A football game with a few adults and a lot of pint-sized kids. That's Eliza in the middle with the purple pants.

Eden preferred pushing a stoller instead of riding her bike. That's Eliza on the right practicing her biking moves.

But surprisingly, it was Eden who was the first to master the monkey bars!

The boys had a great time one the playground with their best buds!

Eden had to show Eliza how to do the monkey bars.

A game of "Tree Tag" turned into a game of "Everyone Chase Dan."

We had an enjoyable time and the kids didn't want to leave, even at 9pm when they were super tired!
