Snow day # 3

It is snow day # 3--Thursday, December 10. Emmet, Eden & Eliza have had their well-child checkups scheduled for today for the last 2 months of so. Of course, their appts were for 8:30, 9 & 9:30, first thing in the morning which normally works the best around here. . . unless of course it is the first day after a blizzard. Seth was up early trying to blade out the driveway. We had to make these appts, mostly because Eden was sounding croupy and could us some steroid. We were late to our appt, but that didn't matter, there were a lot of cancellations. Let's begin by saying that a 10x10 exam room is too small for our family. We're already border-line stir-crazy and then stick us in something small!

The kids are healthy for the most part. Eden is a little croupy but should be better by morning. The girls are in the 60-70th percentile, quite an improvement from their original 5-10%. Emmet is in the 95th percentile and doing well. Apparently, he had an ear wax issue, so they flushed his right ear. I'd never seen this done before and they pushed water in his ear and chunks of wax came out! I expect that he shall now be listening better to my commands . . . .
Since business was a little slow today, Seth wanted the procedure done but after looking, his ears were fine. So he should have no excuse for not listening to me :)

And since we were in the doctor's office and I had Seth's help, it worked for all of us to get seasonal flu shots. Well, all except Eden who can't have one until she's off the steroid medicine so we'll get hers next week. Let's just say that the shot scenario did not go well. Eliza handled it with grace but her brothers on the other hand did not.

Seth finished the day by piling the snow up. The boys had fun on the piles that are probably 8-10 feet high. I'll take pictures in a day or two, when it's a little warmer to be outside.
Tomorrow will require getting the kids out of their pajamas for the first time since . . .
