Tuesday, December 8 was our first snow day at home. No school and no day care and no going to work for mommy & daddy. We went outside right after lunch before the temperature got too cold. Here are a few photos of us enjoying the snow.

Seth and Ephraim thowing snowballs.

Emmet throwing snowballs at Eden & Eliza. The girls were bundled up pretty good so they were having trouble walking in the deep snow drifts.

Ephraim pretending to be a rescuer.

I think this is Eden :) It was kind of hard to tell with the ski masks on the kids.

Snow day #2 (the day of the "blister" according to Emmet) {translation: blizzard}
We started our morning with monkey bread and little smokies, both favorites of the kids.

I decided this would be a good day to make Christmas Cookies. This did prove to be quite the undertaking since it was an event shared while all four kids were awake. First, we started with the dough and rolling it out. The kids were anxious to use the cookie cutters . . .regardless of their holiday affiliation. . .all of them . . . and at last count, I had a 100-piece set.

Emmet getting little irate that Eden is smoothing the dough after he just cut a few cookies.

One pan ready for the oven.

Now for the frosting!
"Everyone gets a bowl and a knife for STIRRING. Now pick your colors."

Good so far, everyone is listening. . . . or not. . .

Who's going to have a belly ache this afternoon?

Note to self: do not eat any cookies with purple frosting . . . or orange . . . or blue . . . or red . . . or green . . . or yellow . . .
By now, the licking of the knife was a battle that I gave up. It was four against one.
