Country Livin' is the Life for Me

It's summer time and that means pool time! Yes, our pool is an old tank used to water animals. That's okay, though. It suits our purposes. Eliza and Emmet were the first to get in on Thursday, the 17th.

Our backyard is shaded for most of the day, which is nice.

For other fun, daddy loaded up the kids on the 4-wheeler to check the farm and water. He didn't have to go further than the ditch by our house. Oh, the kids were squealing with delight!

Where was Eden? Where else, but clamped to Mommy's leg.

The water in the ditch is only knee high--on Ephraim--but it looks deeper since the 4-wheeler displaces most of it.

And then a couple days later there was a trip to check the terraces with Ephraim on the 4-wheeler.
We've had a lot of rain here, that's for sure. We could use a short dry spell to get the garden weeded and get the corn cultivated.
