Seekers in Sneakers

The boys really enjoy the Sunday evening program at our church "Seekers in Sneakers" for kids ages K-6th. We're doing the What's in the Bible Church Curriculum. It is produced by Phil Vischer (the creator of Veggie Tales) and it is very good. It corresponds with the DVD series that he is producing, also. Anyway, this group meets for an hour and a half every Sunday night. We have quite a few kids who come 20 to 30 and 5 of us adults to keep them in line! We always start out with half an hour of praise and worship songs. It is special to watch the kids singing and signing with the songs.

We've finished up a unit and with only two weeks left before we're done for the year, it was time for a gym fun night!

Emmet using a dodge ball for a basketball.

Perfecting the art of hula-hooping with his arm. I did try to hula hoop and it is harder than it looks.

Emmet doing it. I did help them get started by holding their hands and then I quickly let go and grabbed the camera before the hoop crashed.

Playing line tag. You have to stay on one of the gym's lines while being chased by one or two people who are it. I played a couple times and it was fun.

It was a bittersweet night knowing that one special boy from Seekers in Sneakers has brain cancer and has been moved to hospice care. Please continue to pray for TJ. www.caringbridge.org/visit/tjgoemaat
