Hitting the Ball

A few more ball pictures, so bear with me.  Just trying to capture the moments!  Thursday was also picture day for the team.

(I couldn't get any closer than this and be obvious to the photographer who was taking Emmet's professional photo.  I don't feel too bad since I did order a few photos from her.)

Team picture:  Emmet is second from the left in the back row.  As a side note, the little boy to the left of Emmet:  his grandpa Ed and Emmet's Grandpa Harold are first cousins.

Getting ready to play.  One cute story:  Emmet's bat brand is Genesis.  But he doesn't just say "Genesis."  He says it is "Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, Joshua, Judges, Ruth". Nice, Emmet.   They better watch out at Bible Quiz this summer.

Practicing throwing and catching.

Emmet was able to bat twice during this game.  Both times he hit it on the second and first pitch.  Nice job!

I was hoping to catch a picture of him running to third base.  I did get the photo of him getting to third base via a leisurely walk.  Too funny!

Then he walked/ran to home plate and proceeded to squat down and play in the dust.  He wasn't the only though.

Waiting patiently to bat.

This was a great hit!  And he's running to first.
So far Tball has been very enjoyable for all of us.  They don't keep score, there are no outs, everyone gets to hit the ball.  It is nice.
Stay tuned for his next game. . .
