Farm Progress Show 2010

The Farm Progress Show comes to Iowa every other year. This year, Seth wanted to experience it with me and the boys. Thanks to my friend Debbie for watching the girls!
Seth showing the boys the innards of a planter.
We opted to take the wagon for Emmet and Ephraim. There was a lot of walking to be done! And we're glad we wore our muck boots!

Emmet got a lot of attention with his "Will trade sister for Tractor" shirt.
And the boys' highlight: Big Bud, the world's largest tractor.

The boys were the most interested in the tents that had coloring books or tattoos.

I was the most interested in the tents that were giving out cloth bags.

And Seth was the most interested in . . .the farm equipment.

We had a great time, despite the humidity. We'll definitely go back and make sure we plan for more time there to see everything.

While we were there, there was always a plane or two circling overhead with an advertisment. And then today on the news . . . sad.
