We move the chicken trailer around every couple of weeks. So, on Monday night, we moved it again. This time closer to the garden so that my chicken fence would encompass the chicken treats I planted. The chickens stay inside the trailer at night, inside the fence during the day when we're gone, but for most of the time they are free range--all over the yard, pasture, etc. We keep them in the fence when we're gone mostly so they don't get in the garage and make a mess! We "have" to leave the garage door open just a few inches so mother cat can get in and out (since her kitties are in the garage).

All aboard!

Emmet feeding them a stalk of chicken treats. They attacked it!

And Ephraim's turn!

Eden was talking to them. "Do you like it?" "What's your name?" "Are you thirsty?"

Eden and
Rahab.
And petting Sapphira.
The kids enjoy watching the chickens, chasing them, feeding them and collecting our eggs. It won't be long and our 8 newer ones will be laying. And in a couple of days, we're going to have the white ones butchered. Stay tuned for that adventure!
