A week or so ago, Fareway had this brand of BBQ sauce for $.99. And I had two coupons for $1/1. So, it was a $.02 moneymaker for me. The bologna was on sale for $.98. I had two $1/2 coupons. So, for $2 I got 4 packages of bologna.
A trip to Target. I used only coupons and saved over $20. A couple items were free or near free.
I had two Up & Up coupons for school supplies--I used it on computer paper and tape, 10% off. I had two coupons for $1 off a Mead product--I bought two Mead Primary Journals for the boys. I had two 15% off coupons for Coleman products. I bought a compass and waterproof matches--both items for our Emergency Kit. The Right Guard deodorants are normally $3.50. I got them for $1.50. Same with the Degree deogorants. I had coupons for the scissors, band-aids, Lysol and Q-tips, too.
I'm not able to take advantage of every sale and every coupon deal, but I try my best, especially if I know it is an item we'll definitely use or is something we can donate.
