Book worms

Just a quick post about what we've been reading this past month or two.  First, in the middle, Seth finished reading the entire Bible on Easter Sunday.  He successfully read the Bible in its entirety from the 2nd week of January to  Easter.  This is quite an accomplishment, reading nearly 1-2 hours a day.

I  just finished the book on the left, End of the Spear by Steve Saint.  A very good book written by the son of a missionary in Equador.  Perhaps you've heard their story, five young missionaries are trying to reach savage tribes in the Amazon rain forest.  They lost their lives in the process when they were speared by the ones they were trying to reach with the gospel in the mid-1950s.  Steve Saint's story then goes full circle when he takes his own family back the jungle to work side by side with those who killed his father.  It is a very good book!
I've just started reading another book written by one of the wives of those slain.

And Farmer Boy.   A great classic that I am reading aloud to the kids.
