Sometimes you just have pictures that have don't make a whole post necessary, nor do they fit in anywhere else, or perhaps they've been forgotten about til now. Here are a few random pictures.
The children had the opportunity to make a round or two with Seth when he was working ground in preparation for planting beans.
The cab was crowded enough so I waited in the van. Riding in the tractor, when the conditions are right, is one way for them to see Seth during the busy time.
A cute picture that Emmet drew during church. It is a picture of the Cub tractor (on the left) and the lawnmower (on the right). When we mowed lawn a few weeks back, Ephraim and I were on the lawnmowers. Emmet was on the Cub with the lawn sweeper behind it, picking up the grass clippings. The girls were helping to dump the clippings and spread them on the garden for mulch. Seth was busy overseeing all the activity and helping Emmet manage the Cub. I must say that Emmet did an outstanding job and was super careful! And it was fun to all be out there together, working together.
The Farm Bureau Spokesman publishes recipes in every issue. I've submitted a few and one of them was published a while back. It was my Pizza Sticks recipe. A simple recipe that uses breadsticks, pepperoni and Parmesan cheese. The odd thing though, is that I haven't made this in a long time. I'd like to make it with fresh dough instead of buying refrigerated breadsticks. Maybe I'll put that on our menu for June . . . .
As a part of our church's 100th Anniversary, a new pictorial directory will be published. Thus, new church pictures for everyone. Our appointment was in February and here is the result. They turned out nice and we got the 8x10 for free and only ordered a few wallets. Earlier in the week, our van had to have some work done on it. I sent Seth in to pay for it with cash and then whatever was leftover would be our picture money. Of course, when deciding which pictures to get the sales lady starts out with the expensive package. Eventually we settle on two sheets of wallets and it was within two dollars of what we had to spend. Nice.
We also had to break the law on the way into take pictures. Without incriminating myself (perhaps the statute of limitations is passed), since our van was having some work done, we had to borrow Seth's parent's CAR. And only one time did we need to use the CAR for all 6 of us. Keep in mind that the front seat only has two seats, the center consul doesn't fold down and there is no buckle. Soooo, all four kids were in the back, buckled up together. Needless to say we drove careful and we're glad to have the van back.
Back to the pictures, I was determined to have us wear clothes that we already have. No sense in buying something new when our closets have plenty in them. I really wanted the girls to wear their Christmas dresses that I made. And for the rest of us, I wanted us to match a little. But that meant wearing black and Eliza's in brown. But I don't think it matters. Our pictures look nice and you probably wouldn't have noticed if I hadn't said anything.
Anyway, that's a few random pictures to get you all caught up.
