I know I've said it before, but I'll say it again. I really enjoy my Supper Swapper group. For the month of June, we agreed to swap dishes that can be grilled. It is a nice change of pace from casseroles. We could do hamburger patties, pork chops, chicken, whatever could be grilled. I chose a Honey Glazed Pork Chop recipe. Pork chops were on sale, so that was an added bonus. The first picture shows how the process starts. I have bags, one for each swapper, my ingredients and my recipe. My bags are all labeled with cooking instructions, the date and the recipient's name.
I divided my pork chops (uncooked) among the bags. Then I mixed the marinade and divided that among the bags.
Finished product and waiting for the freezer. The pork chops are frozen in the marinade. I haven't had mine yet but I've already heard from another family that they were yummy.
The recipe:
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup cider vinegar
1/2 tsp ground ginger
2 tsp minced garlic
3 Tablespoons soy sauce
(I actually doubled the recipe and then it was a enough for three batches of pork chops, 4 pork chops in a bag)
6 boneless pork chops
Mix marinade ingredients and combine with pork chops and freeze. Thaw overnight and then grill or bake at 350 degrees for f45 to 55 minutes. Turn occasionally and coat with remaining glaze.
