It has been an annual tradition for several years to get together over Memorial Day weekend and celebrate Seth's dad's birthday. We also celebrate Paul and Ephraim's birthdays. This year the weather was wonderful! In fact, on Sunday afternoon we got out the slip and slide before the party really started.
In this picture, I think they are trying to get Mark into the water.
Six cousins enjoying each other.
Let the hot dog roasting begin. And the wiener jokes, too.
Eliza was beyond thrilled that Uncle Paul was dog sitting this weekend which meant that Cooper would be at the party. I don't think Eliza let Cooper out of her sight the whole evening. And no, we won't be getting a dog anytime soon.
We always have bit of a family meeting to discuss upcoming dates, etc. This year Beth brought a few of Grandma Elizabeth's hats to give out. Eden, Eliza and Sarah each got one to cherish.
Eden modeling the black hat.
And then modeling the white one.
Then it was time to see if Arlin could fit into Elmer's uniform. Barely.
The birthday boys: Grandpa is 63, Paul is 28 and Ephraim is 9. We had Rhubarb Pie, Blue cake with white frosting, Oreo Cookie chocolate cake AND homemade ice cream to celebrate.
Taking time before we leave to read cards and thank Grandpa/Grandma and the DeBruin's for their birthday presents to Ephraim.
It was a blessed day!
