Let the garden preserving begin. These are some peas from my mother-in-law's garden. Mine are about one week behind and now they are coming on strong. We had about a gallon bucket to preserve. We've been eating them for supper, too. First, I started by washing them and putting them in the wire basket. Then it was time to boil for two minutes. . . .
And then package . . .
I got 5 pints. What a treat it will be to pull them out during the off season. My kids love these so that's an added bonus. What a blessing to have a garden and know how to use it :)
